HotelTonight launches mobile extranet for hotels

Hotel managers can see sold rooms, instantly add rooms and close out – all from one simple screen on a mobile device. The extranet features an instant close out button, the option to change room inventory and pricing dynamically.

HotelTonight offers hotels a flexible way to handle last second, dynamic inventory management. Hotels can offer mobile bookers targeted impulse rates, without jeopardizing revenue or brand management objectives.

Hotels have 100 percent control of rates and inventory, accessible on any device, any time. Consumers win by getting exclusive access to amazing hotels at unmatched rates.

Unlike traditional online travel agencies, HotelTonight can offer deep discounts of up to 70 percent on same-day bookings by working with a select group of over 600 leading hotels.

In less than 10 seconds, travelers can book exclusive handpicked deals.

Gogobot Takes Social Travel Discovery Platform Mobile With iOS App

Travel discovery startup Gogobot is making its first entry into the mobile space today with a new, free iOS app.

In case you aren’t familiar, Gogobot is sort of like a Yelp for travel. The site leverages social data from Facebook, Foursquare and other services. You can navigate Gogobot by searching for places or things and see where a particular user has gone by navigating his or her passports. Check out our launch post from last year for a detailed review of the service.

The new iOS app includes all this functionality and more, plus allows you to create and share real-time digital postcards, find nearby restaurant, hotels and attractions to your current location, and access personalized trip plans. Read the rest of this entry
